Farendys Wine Estate
Druivenstreek
Farendys has around ten vineyards spread across the Grape‑growing Region (Druivenstreek).
This region is known for its table grapes, traditionally grown in greenhouses. Today, we take that tradition to a new level by planting wine grapevines. In some places, our vineyards even grow alongside existing greenhouses, where past and future quite literally meet.
Each vineyard has its own terroir and characteristics, resulting in a rich and diverse palette of flavours
Noble grape varieties
Our wine estate focuses on noble grape varieties (Vitis vinifera), such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois Blanc. These classic grapes form the foundation of our wines.
In addition, we experiment with other grape varieties, depending on the terroir. This approach gives us the freedom to create an optimal blend each year, with quality and taste experience always at the core.
With love and passion
A vineyard requires a great deal of manual work and dedication. Throughout the seasons, we care for the vines with close attention, from pruning to harvest. Winemaking itself is also a process of precision and patience, where every step matters for the final taste.
By approaching this as a team, moments in the vineyard and the winery naturally become warm and convivial experiences.
Feel free to take a walk past one of our vineyards and come say hello.
Together with nature
We work with great care for nature and the surrounding ecosystem in order to obtain the best possible grapes. After all, a healthy vineyard produces the finest fruit.
In and around our vineyards, we consciously encourage biodiversity. Think of flower meadows between and alongside the vines, which not only add colour but also attract beneficial insects. A local beekeeper keeps his bees in our vineyard, ensuring good pollination as well as delicious honey.
We extend this philosophy into our winery too, which operates entirely on renewable energy.
